To a four-month low!
On the morning of November 26, the offshore RMB exchange rate against the US dollar, which more reflects the expectations of international investors, fell continuously below 7.25, 7.26 and 7.27, and the lowest fell to 7.2727, down more than 200 points from the previous trading day, hitting a new low since the end of July.
Us President-elect Trump's tariff remarks stimulated the dollar to rise, and the dollar index rose to 107.5604 in the morning of November 26, up more than 0.6%, and then narrowed its rise.
At present, despite the recent depreciation of the RMB against the US dollar, since the beginning of October, the RMB exchange rate against a basket of currencies (CFETS) has appreciated by about 1.2%, and the index is fluctuating around 100.
