According to customs statistics, in the first seven months of this year, the total value of imports and exports in the Yangtze River Delta region was 9.1 trillion yuan, up 5.8 percent year-on-year. Among them, the export of automobiles was 180.63 billion yuan, up 2.7% year-on-year, accounting for 39% of the country; Ship exports were 111.41 billion yuan, up 79% year on year, accounting for 64.1% of the national total; The export of high-tech products reached 1.2 trillion yuan, up 4.4 percent year on year, accounting for 34.8 percent of the country. In the total value of national imports and exports, the Yangtze River Delta region accounts for 36.7% of the share, playing an important role in the "ballast stone".

In the first seven months of this year, the export of high-end equipment in the Yangtze River Delta region reached 134.97 billion yuan, up 52.7 percent year on year, accounting for 55.3 percent of the national total. High-tech products are one of the important export products of private enterprises in the Yangtze River Delta region. Because of their high added value, high technology content and broad market prospects, they have gradually become an important part of international trade. In the first seven months of this year, the import and export of private enterprises in the Yangtze River Delta region reached 4.89 trillion yuan, an increase of 9% year-on-year, accounting for half of the total value of foreign trade in the Yangtze River Delta, reaching 53.7%, becoming an important force in the development of foreign trade in the Yangtze River Delta.
