The Djibouti Ports and Free Zone Authority (Djibouti Ports and Free Zone Authority) has issued an official notice saying that from June 15, all cargo unloaded at Djibouti ports, regardless of the final destination, must hold an ECTN (Electronic Cargo Tracking Slip) certificate.
The ECTN certificate contains comprehensive information about the cargo, including how it was transported between ports and how long it took. Before arriving at the port, each shipment must be accompanied by an ECTN certificate. In addition, each bill of lading must also indicate the corresponding ECTN tracking number. Otherwise, there may be problems with the goods during customs clearance and transit.
