The world’s first single container industry chain transformation financial financing project landed in COsco Shipping Development, a subsidiary of COSCO Shipping Group.
Recently, COSCO Shipping Development Co., LTD. (referred to as COSCO Shipping Development), a subsidiary of COSCO Shipping Group, and Standard Chartered Bank (China) Limited signed a framework agreement on the transformation of the container industry chain and sustainable finance, and signed a credit line of 3 billion yuan.
The signing of the cooperation agreement will enable the two sides to continue to strengthen information exchange at the national, regional and global levels, deepen cooperation in transition financing, liquidity and risk management, green and sustainable development, and promote their respective high-quality development in the fields of environment, society and governance.
According to reports, the project, as the world’s first single container industry chain transformation financial financing project, aims to identify the green and low-carbon transformation path of the container industry chain from the daily operations of container manufacturing and container leasing business segments, load the “transformation finance” financing plan, and help each node of the industry chain to accelerate the green and low-carbon transformation.
