All ships heading for Israel will be attacked!

On December 9, local time, the Houthi armed forces in Yemen issued a statement saying that the Houthi armed forces will expand their naval strikes against Israel. The Houthis have warned ships not to enter Israeli ports.

The Red Sea and the Arabian Sea are among the main shipping lanes leading to the Suez Canal. The incident will affect the movement of goods from Asia to Europe. Obstructed navigation of ships may lead to delays in the transportation of goods, resulting in higher shipping costs.

Yahya Sarea, a spokesman for the Houthis in Yemen, said the Houthis had successfully implemented a decision to prevent Israeli ships from sailing in the Red Sea and the Arabian Sea. However, in light of the continued Israeli operation in the Gaza Strip, the Houthis announced that if the Gaza Strip does not receive food and medicine needed by the local population, the Houthis will ban any ship bound for Israel from sailing in the Red Sea and the Arabian Sea, and this ban will apply to ships of any nationality.

Sarea warned all ships and companies not to contact Israeli ports. He also said that the Houthis support the global trade flow of all ships and all countries through the Red Sea and Arabian Sea, with the exception of ships that have links with Israel or transport goods to Israeli ports. The Houthis said the decision was implemented from the time the statement was issued.

Since the outbreak of large-scale conflict between Palestine and Israel, the Houthi armed forces have repeatedly claimed attacks on targets in Israel and “Israeli ships” passing through the Yemeni coast.

On the 3rd of this month, the Houthis said in a statement that the group used drones and missiles to attack two “Israeli ships” that “ignored the warnings of the Houthi navy” near the Bab el-Mandeb Strait in the southern Red Sea on the same day.
