According to CCTV News, on June 17, China announced that it will include Australia in the scope of unilateral visa-free countries.

According to Xinhua News Agency, on the afternoon of June 13 local time, Chinese Premier Li Qiang held talks with his New Zealand counterpart Peter Lacson at the Government House in Wellington. Li Qiang said that New Zealand will be included in the scope of unilateral visa-free countries, hoping that New Zealand will provide more convenience for Chinese citizens to visit New Zealand.

 

Since last year, China has unilaterally granted visa-free access to a number of countries. So far, China has granted visa-free access to France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland, Ireland, Hungary, Austria, Belgium and Luxembourg. Visa exemption has also been granted to Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Georgia and other countries.
