The Indian Navy has deployed the destroyers Kolkata, Cochin, Mormugan and Chennai to the Red Sea exit, south of the Yemeni island of Socotra, and west and central Arabian Sea respectively. The USS Visakhapatnam was also assigned to patrol the northern Arabian Sea.
